Internship Overview

The IRA Trust Intern will assist multiple IRA Financial teams in managing and administering Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) held within a trust. This internship will provide valuable exposure to the regulatory, financial, and operational aspects of IRA trust administration.

Internship Details

• Location - On-Site, Sioux Falls, SD (no hybrid or remote option)
• Monday-Friday, no nights or weekends
• Non-Exempt/Hourly - Full Time
• May 2026 through August 2026

Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist in the IRA administration, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and IRS guidelines.

• Help process and review contributions, distributions, and beneficiary designations for IRA accounts.

• Help prepare documents, including IRA agreements, account opening forms, and other compliance paperwork.

• Assist in communicating with clients, beneficiaries, and custodians about IRA Trusts, providing excellent customer service.

• Maintain accurate records and organize files related to IRAs.

• Assist with other administrative duties as required by IRA Financial.

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless experience for clients and support overall business objectives.

• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Strong interest in retirement planning and trust administration.

• Basic understanding of retirement accounts (IRAs) and related regulations is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial data.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
